​Learning Centers
HIO’s two learning centers are hidden gems in the harsh environment of inner-city Kathmandu. These bright, cheery spaces are lovingly brought to life by our highly skilled Nepal staff. All of HIO’s learners - from preschool children to our sponsored girls and their mothers - consider our learning centers like second homes.

​Reach for the Stars
​HIO's Higher Education Dreamers Fund empowers young women who are seeking financial assistance to attend college, graduate school and technical training within East Asia. After completing 12th grade, HIO students may apply for educational support from our Dreamers Scholarship Fund.

​Women's Empowerment
​HIO mothers have been taught emphatically since birth to be subservient. Most of these marginalized women have completed very little formal education, having been denied opportunities to go to school as young girls. Be Part of Her Dream provides tools and supportive learning environments that encourage HIO mothers and grandmothers to develop as strong community leaders and role models.

​Health and Family Services
HIO's family-centric approach to wellness encourages our educational intervention to be most successful. Our wellness program includes daily nutritions meals at our two learning centers, food distributions serving the entire HIO community and a range of healthcare initiatives that address the unique needs of girls and women in Nepal.
